Outlaws camps start today

The Oneonta Outlaws will host baseball camps for boys and girls ages 5-12 from today through July 18 at Damaschke Field.

Each four-day camp runs from 9 a.m.-noon Mondays through Thursdays. Campers will be grouped based on age and ability.

Cost is $70 per player and includes 12 hours of instruction from Outlaws coaches and players, as well as an official Oneonta Outlaws T-shirt. Cost for each additional family member is $60. Additional camps also cost $60 apiece.

The Outlaws also are offering birthday-party packages. Cost is $12 per child, with a minimum of 10 children required. Cost includes free game admission for each child and one parent, as well as food and drink for each child. The birthday child also will receive an Outlaws baseball cap and throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Softball school begins today

The 6th Ward All County Softball School will run from 9 a.m.-noon today through Thursday at Ted Christman Field in Neahwa Park.

The school is for players ages 9-17 and teaches fundamentals of pitching, hitting, fielding and base running.

Otsego GC to host golf camps

The Otsego Golf Club will host a series of golf camps led by Bobby Amore starting today.

The camps focus on fundamentals for beginner and intermediate golfers. Camps run from 9 a.m.-noon Mondays-Thursdays. Cost is $125 per golfer per camp.

The Mites Camps (ages 10-12) run today through Thursday and July 15-18. The Minis Camp (7-8) runs July 1-4, and the Juniors Camp (13-14) is scheduled for July 8-11.

Amore also offers adult lessons in a clinic or private format.
