Davies, who hails from Cronulla, Australia, is one of two goalies and 13 players picked for the squad. She also competed at the same event in 2011, helping Australia to the bronze medal.
Australia will compete in Group C at the event with matches against South Africa (Aug. 18), Ukraine (Aug. 19) and Uzbekistan (Aug. 20) before the qualification round begins Aug. 21. The playoff rounds will run from Aug. 22-24.

Davies earned all three CWPA weekly honors (Player, Rookie, Defensive) at least once over the course of the season and was named to the CWPA Western Division Second Team at the end of the year.
The Australian team leaves for Europe in late July for a pair of lead-up tournaments to the FINA Championships. The team is scheduled to play in the International Junior Women’s Tournament in Dunaujvaros, Hungary, from Aug. 2-5, then will compete in the Pythea Cup in Itea, Greece, from Aug. 11-15.
