Maggie Hall’s two-hit day included a home run in the fourth inning as visiting Cooperstown won a non-league game in its opener.

Jennifer Flynn also had two his for Cooperstown, which received three RBIs from Erin Hascup.

Cooperstown will travel to Sherburne-Earlville on Wednesday.

Melrose finished with 10 strikeouts and Mason had a double for the Raiders.

Jillian Perrillo hit a double for the Wolverines (0-1), who will host Jefferson today.
