---- — Summer lacrosse starts June 23

Lacrosse Oneonta will hold sign-ups for its summer leagues from 6-8 p.m. June 11 and 16 at the 6th Ward Booster Club Park in Oneonta.

The leagues will run Mondays and Wednesdays from June 23 through Aug. 13, with youths starting at 5:30 p.m., followed by competitive play from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

USLacrosse membership is required to participate. Proof of membership must be presented at sign-ups. Cost for membership is $25-$50 and may be renewed or applied for at the website www.uslacrosse.org.

Cost to join Lacrosse Oneonta is $45 and includes a reversible jersey. The league will supply goals, balls and field. Participants must have a stick, a helmet, shoulder pads, arm guards, gloves and a mouthpiece.

Soccer camps begin June 30

The Headwaters Summer Soccer Camp will celebrate its 25th year this summer with seven camps for boys and girls ages 7-17 as well as team camps.

Camps cost $60 per week and run from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays during the summer. Campers will receive a T-shirt and a water bottle.

The following is a list of the camps:

June 30-July 4: at Otego American Legion Post 1555.

July 7-11: at Worcester Central School.

July 14-18: at Mine Kill State Park.

July 21-25: at Mine Kill State Park.

July 28-Aug. 1: at Edmeston Central.

Aug. 4-8: at Mine Kill State Park.

Aug. 11-15: at Oneonta State.

Hartwick College will host the following sports camps this summer.

July 12-16: Soccer Development & Skills II (ages 9-19).

July 13-19: Competitive Swimming II (ages 8-18).

July 20-26: Competitive Swimming III (ages 8-18).

Basketball camp runs July 7-11

Oneonta State will host its 11th annual Red Dragon Basketball Camp from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. July 7-11.

The camp, which has a 9-to-1 camper-to-coach ratio, is open to boys and girls ages 6-17.

Soccer ref classes start July 16

Classes for high school soccer officials will run from 6-8 p.m. July 16 in Oneonta State’s Morris Conference Center.

OLL to offer Yankees trips

Oneonta Little League will offer two bus trips to Yankee Stadium this year, starting with New York’s July 19 home game against the Cincinnati Reds.

The OLL also will offer a trip to see the Yankees host the Cleveland Indians on Aug. 9.

O-State to host basketball camp

The Oneonta State women’s basketball team will host a developmental overnight/commuter camp for girls ages 10-18 from the evening of July 20 to 3 p.m. July 23.

Camp counselors will include present team members. The camp is designed to develop fundamentals. Daily activities include one-on-one and three-on-three instruction, fundamental stations and games.

Cost is $305 for overnight residents and $265 for commuters. A $35 non-refundable deposit is required with each application. Registration form, health form, payment and emergency contact information form are required to attend camp.

Campers who submit applications with full payments by June 2 will receive a $10 discount. The discount is also available to groups of five or more from the same school who register together. Applications received after July 7 require payments in full at the time of registration.

Soccer camp starts July 21

Michael Iannelli will present the 13th anniversary of his summer soccer camps at The Wright National Soccer Campus in Oneonta on July 21-25.

The camp will include the individual skills and drills, player evaluation sheets, team play and concepts, soccer Olympics, a World Cup team tournament, and shoot-and-save contests.

O-State to host lacrosse camp

Oneonta State will hold the High Octane Lacrosse Camp for boys ages 8-18 from July 23-26.

Cost is $400 for overnight camp and $300 for day camp.

O-State to host youth camp

Oneonta State will host the 18th annual Eastman Associates Munchkin All-Sport Camp for children ages 5-12 from July 28-31.

The camp runs daily, with a short session that runs from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and a long session that goes from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Cost is $60 for the short session and $90 for the long session.

Soccer, tennis, basketball, kickball, racquetball, T-ball, track and badminton will be offered. Participants will receive a T-shirt. Proceeds will benefit the Oneonta State women’s soccer program.
