UVSC’s 2013 schedule set

The Unadilla Valley Sports Center in New Berlin will host the following events this season:

May 31-June 2: Loretta Lynn’s NE Youth Regional.

June 14-16: MX Rewind Vintage Weekend.

July 12-14: ATV National Weekend.

Aug. 9-11: Pro National MX Weekend.

Sept. 7-8: Grand National Cross Country.

OCC offering $19.13 foursomes

The Oneonta Country Club will offer a special rate to the public June 1 as part of its 100-year anniversary celebration.

The first 30 foursomes that reserve a tee time between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for June 1 will pay a total of $19.13. The rate, which reflects the year the course opened (1913), includes greens fees, cart, hot dog and soda for each member of the foursome.

The OCC’s 100-year anniversary weekend will run June 14-16.

Gun hunter course June 1

A Gun Hunter Education course will run from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. June 1 and from 8 a.m.-noon June 2 in Stamford.

All students must pre-register by calling Hank Cioccari at 607-652-8049.

Walton awards night June 3

Walton Central School will host its annual sports awards night at 6:30 p.m. June 3 in the high school auditorium. All varsity teams will be recognized.

Delhi Little League starts June 4

Delhi Little League will begin at 5:30 p.m. June 4 at the Delhi American Legion.

Youths ages 6-12 may still register for the season. Those who have completed Kindergarten are also eligible to sign-up. Players cannot be age 13 on or before June 30.

OHS awards night June 6

Oneonta High will host its 67th annual Varsity “O” Athletics Awards Evening at 7 p.m. June 6 in the high school cafeteria.

All varsity teams will be recognized. All athletes and their families are invited.

The Yellowjackets will present the following awards: Male and Female Athlete of the Year; Anthony C. Drago; Herb Burchell; Carl J. Delberta (male and female); E.C. Dutch Damaschke; Service and Athletics; and Cathy Lynch Patron to Athletics.
