---- — OBGC to hold summer camps
The Oneonta Boys and Girls Club will host a football camp for boys ages 7-12 from 3-5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. First-year Oneonta High varsity football coach John Mushtare will run the camp, which costs $25 per player.
The OBGC also will hold a softball camp for girls ages 8-12 from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday. OHS varsity softball coach Randy Brockway will run the camp, which also costs $25 per player.

Soccer camps continue Monday
The Headwaters Soccer Club is accepting registrations for its 2013 summer camps.
Camps will be held for boys and girls ages 7-17, including team camps.
Cost is $60 per camper per week. Each participant will receive a T-shirt and a water bottle.
The remaining camps run from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays on the following dates:
Monday-Friday: at Mine Kill State Park.
July 22-26: at Edmeston Central.
July 29-Aug. 2: at Mine Kill State Park.
Aug. 5-9: at Oneonta State.

Otsego GC to host golf camp
The Otsego Golf Club will host a Mites Camp for youths ages 10-12 from 9 a.m.-noon Monday through Thursday.
The camp will be led by Bobby Amore and costs $125 per golfer.
Amore also offers adult lessons in a clinic or private format.

<\Bz18>Last Outlaws camp this week
The Oneonta Outlaws will host its final baseball camp of the summer for boys and girls ages 5-12 from 9 a.m.-noon Monday through Thursday at Damaschke Field.
Campers will be grouped based on age and ability. Cost is $70 per player and includes 12 hours of instruction from Outlaws coaches and players, as well as an official Oneonta Outlaws T-shirt. Cost for each additional family member is $60.
The Outlaws also are offering birthday-party packages. Cost is $12 per child, with a minimum of 10 children required. Cost includes free game admission for each child and one parent, as well as food and drink for each child. The birthday child also will receive an Outlaws baseball cap and throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

<\Bz18>Hall’s All-Star Gala is Tuesday
The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown will host its annual All-Star Gala in the Grandstand Theater on Tuesday.
The event centers on the 84th Major League Baseball All-Star Game, which will be televised live in the Grandstand Theater. Citi Field, which is home to the New York Mets, will host the All-Star Game.
Doors to the Grandstand Theater open at 7:30 p.m., with game coverage beginning at 8 p.m.
Fans will be treated to hot dogs and ballpark-style snacks, along with a limited edition commemorative All-Star Gala button for all guests in attendance. Scorecards will be distributed to fans, and official All-Star Game programs will be available for purchase.
Games, trivia contests and opportunities to win door prizes will take place during inning breaks.
Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children and may be reserved in advance by calling the Hall’s membership department at 607-547-0397 or by visiting the Hall’s membership and museum services desk.

Classes for those interested in officiating high school soccer games during the 2013 season begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Oneonta State’s Morris Conference Center.

The annual Shoot for Scouts Clay Target Tournament to benefit the programs of the Otschodela Council Boy Scouts will be held July 20 at the Oneonta Sportsman Club at 251 Rod and Gun Club Rd. in Oneonta.
The event will feature trap, skeet and sporting clays challenges, a barbecue and prizes.

The Oneonta Boys and Girls Club will host an adult kickball/barbecue fundraiser beginning at 10 a.m. July 20 at the 6th Ward Booster Club.
Cost is $30 per player and includes barbecue and games. Proceeds will benefit the OBGC.
Players must be at least age 20. Rosters must have nine to 11 players and include at least two females. The total age per roster must be a minimum of 275 years.

The SUNY Oneonta athletics department will hold its third annual Coaches Golf Classic on July 20 at the Oneonta Country Club.
Entry fee for the captain-and-crew event is $100 per golfer.
Prizes will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place foursomes in both flights, as well as for longest drive and closest to the pin.
The event begins with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. A lunch buffet will follow the event.

The Delhi College Golf Course will host the Delaware County Women’s Amateur Golf Tournament on July 20.
The tournament, which features a championship division and five flights, is open to all Delaware County residents and non-residents who are members of Delaware County golf courses.

The Oneonta State women’s basketball team will host a developmental overnight/commuter camp for girls ages 10-18 from July 21-24.
Team members will serve as counselor’s for the camp, which is designed to develop fundamentals.
Daily activities include 1-on-1 and 3-on-3 instruction, fundamental stations, and games.
Cost is $295 for residents (overnight) and $255 for commuters. A $35 non-refundable deposit is required with the application. Those who submit applications and full payments by June 3 will receive a $10 discount. Group discounts are also available.

The Hurley’s Heroes Track Club of Oneonta will host its final Twilight Track & Field Meet of the summer at 7 p.m. July 23 at Oneonta State.

Sidney Youth Football will hold equipment handouts and sign-up nights from 6-7:30 p.m. July 29 and 30 at the Sidney Civic Center’s third floor, above the DMV.
Youths in grades K-6 may play. The organization also is offering flag football for youths in grades K-2.
Youths in grades 3-6 who already have registered must attend one of the nights for equipment handout.
Those who still need to register must bring a copy of the player’s birth certificate and registration fee ($45 for youth football; $30 for flag football).

The 17th annual Eastman Associates Munchkin All-Sport Camp will run from July 29-Aug. 1 at Oneonta State.
The O-State women’s soccer team will run the camp, which is designed for boys and girls ages 5-12. Activities include badminton, basketball, kickball, racquetball, soccer, T-ball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.
Cost is $60 per camper (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) or $90 per camper (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) and includes a T-shirt. Campers should wear athletic attire, including sneakers, and bring their own lunches.
