The Midstate Arms Collectors and Shooters Club will host gun and knife shows from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the following dates.

Aug. 11: Unadilla Gun Show and Flea Market at Unadilla Rod & Gun Club (free admission)

Oct. 13: Lisle Gun Show at Lisle Fire Co. ($3 admission)

Nov. 3: Oneonta Gun Show at Holiday Inn ($2 admission)

Table reservations cost $15 and must be paid by cash in advance.

<\Bz18>Fingers to host Seniors Open

National Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Rollie Fingers will serve as celebrity host for the 31st annual Otesaga Hotel Seniors Open and Pro-Am Golf Tournament, which runs Sept. 3-6 at the Leatherstocking Golf Course in Cooperstown.

Fingers, a 1992 Hall inductee with 341 career saves, will participate in the Sept. 3 Pro-Am, which begins with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start. Fingers also will speak at the fundraiser dinner later that day.

Proceeds from the Pro-Am will benefit Pathfinder Village, a residential community in Edmeston dedicated to children and adults with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities. Proceeds also will benefit the Hall’s educational programs.

The Seniors Open follows Sept. 4-6 and will feature close to 100 of the top senior professionals in the country. Tom Eubank of Ellijay, Ga., shot a tournament record-tying 64 in the final round to win the 2012 Seniors Open.

The Hall also will feature Fingers in a special Voices of the Game event at 11 a.m. Sept. 2 in the Grandstand Theater. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

Museum members may reserve tickets starting Aug. 5 by calling 607-547-0397 during regular business hours weekdays. Remaining tickets, if any, will go on sale to the general public Aug. 26.
