Dower's big day leads Jackets past Forks

Afton 16, UV 1

Tanya Hatton struck out nine in a five-inning one-hitter, and went 3-for-3 with two triples and three RBIs as host Afton improved to 5-0 with a Midstate Athletic Conference victory.

Hatton hit a two-run triple during Afton’s seven-run first inning.

Connor Decker and Ashley Rogalsky each had three hits and three RBIs for the Crimson Knights, who received two hits from Sierra Palmatier.

Afton will play two games in Liverpool on Saturday. The Crimson Knights will play Geneva at 11 a.m. and Cazenovia at 1 p.m.
