Lucas Butcher went 3-for-5 with two runs to lead visiting Sidney to a victory at Doubleday Field.

Dylan VanPelt also scored twice for Sidney, which received a combined five-hitter from winning pitcher Zack Decker and reliever Lucas DeJoy.

Decker struck out three, walked three and gave up five hits in six innings. He also had an RBI double — the only extra-base hit of the game — to highlight a four-run first inning.

Keegan Wheelock-Tanner paced Cooperstown with two hits and an RBI.

Sidney (5-3) hosts Montrose, Pa., at 6 p.m. Thursday at Unatego.

Cooperstown (1-2) is off until Monday, when it hosts Unadilla Valley at 10 a.m. back at Doubleday Field.
