Mattice also singled, stole second, advanced to third on a groundout and scored on Dustin King’s single in the sixth inning. Mattice had two of Stamford’s three hits.
Grace struck out 11 and walked four in a three-hitter.
Stamford (4-0, 3-0) will play Jefferson on Friday.

Griff Metzo struck out 16 in a three-hitter as host South Kortright won in the Delaware League.
“He had a good fastball and mixed in his breaking a little bit,” SK coach Bob VanValkenburgh said. “He had good command of the strike zone.”
Sam Fabrykiewicz hit a two-run double during the Rams’ four-run sixth inning.
Elijah Ruoff had two hits for Hunter-Tannersville.
SK (1-4, 1-2) will host Roxbury on Thursday.
Windham 25, Margaretville 2
Subaru Honge went 5-for-5, with three runs and three RBIs, to lead host Windham in the Delaware League.
Aidan Cohane had three hits, scored five times and drove in four, and Anthony Savasta homered as part of a three-hit day and drove in three runs.
Windham will host Gilboa on Thursday.
Davenport 10, Downsville 4
Cody Wamsley went 3-for-4, including an RBI double during Davenport’s two-run sixth inning that put the visiting Wildcats ahead for good in their Delaware League victory.
With the score tied at 4, Andre DeWitt singled to start Davenport’s sixth. He went to second on an error and to third on a groundout. He then scored when Paul Clark reached on a dropped third strike. Clark scored on Wamsley’s double to make it 6-4.
Winning pitcher Josh Davi struck out 15 and walked four in a four-hitter.
Downsville took a 4-3 lead in the third inning on an RBI double by Liam Fogarty.
The Eagles (2-3, 1-2) will travel to Gilboa on Friday.
