Sidney baseball rallies in seventh


Scudder doubled to lead off the bottom of the seventh and moved to third on a passed ball to set up Faraci, who drove in the winner with a flyout to center field.

Jacob Davis doubled, singled and drove in a run for the Rockets (1-4, 1-1), who scored seven times in the second inning.

Will Rendler tripled and Chris Clark doubled for Roxbury, which visits South Kortright on Thursday.

Milford 13, CV-S 9

Max Lang hit a three-run homer over the left-center field fence in the second inning to help Milford rally for a Tri-Valley League victory on the road.

The Wildcats scored a fourth run in the second for a 4-3 lead but allowed four runs in the bottom frame. Milford then outscored Cherry Valley-Springfield, 9-2, over the last four innings.

Stephen Banks and Blake Elliott doubled for the Wildcats, who matched CV-S with five hits.

Jake Kroll (two runs) and Kyle Monahan had two hits apiece for the Patriots (1-2, 1-2), who visit Morris today.

Edmeston 27, OV 5

Logan Vibbard highlighted Edmeston’s 10-run fifth inning with a grand slam as the Panthers cruised to a non-league home victory over Otselic Valley.

Vibbard finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs, four runs and three stolen bases for Edmeston (4-0), which got a homer from Lucas Miller in the second.

Winning pitcher Mike Clark struck out nine, walked one and gave up two hits in six innings for the Panthers, who host Milford today.
