Cody Petillo finished with a college-best four goals and two assists Tuesday, but Hartwick College lost a non-conference men’s lacrosse game, 16-15, at Mount Saint Mary.
Sean Brown contributed three goals and an assist for the Hawks (3-10), who received two goals apiece from Zach Gropper (two assists), Mike Vaglica (assist) and Nick Oliver.
Roy Simmons (two assists) and Evan Petillo also scored for Hartwick, which got two assists from Cody Ciolino and one from Kevin Rourke.
Jake Robinson and Shaun McMahon had five goals apiece to pace MSM (6-8), which jumped to a 4-1 lead after one quarter en route to a 9-7 halftime lead.
The game was rescheduled from Feb. 26 because of poor weather conditions.
Hartwick ends its season at Alfred on Saturday.
Madeline DiMilio’s 2-for-4 effort included a homer off the scoreboard in left field that helped SUNY Cobleskill to a 10-2 victory over visiting Wells College in the first game of a North Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader.
The Fighting Tigers capped the sweep with a 10-1 win in the second game as Cobleskill moved to 11-7 overall and 9-3 in the NEAC.
Julia Lull also homered in the opener and went 3-for-3 with four RBIs and two runs. Cobleskill teammate Jessica DeVoe had two hits and two RBIs, and Kelsey DeZalia doubled, tripled and scored twice.
Winning pitcher Erin Wadsworth allowed two runs on a homer by Lindsay Achzet in the third inning. Wadsworth struck out 11 and walked one.
DiMilio finished 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple, three runs and a RBI in the second game, which featured two hits and two RBIs from Lull. Megan Golden tripled, homered, scored twice and drove in two runs for Cobleskill, which got two hits and two RBIs from Mattea Bagley.
Wadsworth (7-2) struck out eight and walked three in a five-inning complete game against Wells (1-13, 1-13).
