Billy Kozak completed the cycle with a seventh-inning triple Thursday, leading Sidney to a 16-4 rout of host Unatego in a Midstate Athletic Conference baseball game.
Kozak finished 4-for-5 with four RBIs and four runs. His two-run homer in the third inning put the Warriors ahead, 5-0, and his triple was part of a three-run seventh that capped the scoring.
Chris Fischer tripled, singled and scored twice for Sidney, which also received triples from Brandon Bessett and Patrick Vibbard.
Winning pitcher Zak Green struck out eight, walked two and allowed three runs on five hits in five innings.
Ethan Barber went 3-for-4 with a run to pace Unatego (6-5, 4-2), which visits Hancock today.
SV 19, Oneonta 10
Oneonta High committed four errors in the bottom of the first inning that led to 12 runs for host Susquehanna Valley in the Southern Tier Athletic Conference.
Matt Hassig capped the first-inning spurt with a two-run homer for the Sabers, who had 19 hits.
Kevin Smith hit a three-run homer to left field in the sixth for OHS. His first HR of the season cut SV’s lead to nine runs.
Collin Neer contributed two doubles and a single for Oneonta (5-5, 4-5), which plays Windsor at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown on Saturday.
Harpursville 9, Walton 8
Devon Dean and Jacob Andrews had two hits apiece to lead Harpursville to a MAC win on the road.
Dylan Wood finished 4-for-4 with three runs for the Warriors (1-5, 1-5), who got two hits apiece from Trevor Zandt (triple) and Derek Meade.
Walton visits Afton at 11 a.m. Saturday to complete a game that was suspended earlier this month.
