With runners on first and second, third baseman Taylor Kessler fielded a grounder, stepped on third for one out and then threw to first baseman Laing for the second out. The runner on first then returned to first and was tagged out by Laing for the third out.
Liz Davis doubled and tripled for Roxbury. Laurens (6-5) was supposed to play Milford in the final, but the game was rained out. No makeup date has been announced.

Milford 9, Worcester 5
Taylor Olmsted and Dawn Pickwick hit RBI doubles in the fifth inning to lead Milford to a victory in the first round of the Milford Booster Club Tournament.
Milford and Laurens were to play in the championship game, but it was rained out. A make-up date has not been announced.
Kaley Chase, Natasha Skillen and Olmsted each contributed two hits for Milford.
Michaela Ralph hit a two-run single in the fourth for Worcester.
Winning pitcher Serena Chase struck out two in a four-hitter for Milford (5-3, 4-3), which will host Schenevus on Tuesday.
Losing pitcher Monica Ridgeway struck out four.
Hancock 22, Walton 7
Sierra Keesler fell a single shy of the cycle in leading Hancock to a Midstate Athletic Conference victory at home Saturday.
Keesler finished 3-for-4 with five RBIs, two runs and a home run. She doubled and tripled during the Wildcats’ 13-run second inning, which featured a three-run homer by Brooke Sherburne (2-for-4, five RBIs).
Winning pitcher Cynthia Wormuth contributed three hits and an RBI for Hancock (11-1, 8-1), which hosts Sidney today.
Losing pitcher Sara Yambor paced Walton with two runs and a 3-for-3 effort.
Hancock coach Kim Makowski said the MAC 1-4, 5-8 and 9-12 tournaments will start May 12 with semifinals. She added that the 5-8 and 9-12 finals, as well as the consolation games in each tournament, will be played May 14. The MAC 1-4 championship game is set for May 15.
