Football sign-ups Saturday

Oneonta Youth Football will hold sign-ups from 9-10:30 a.m. this Saturday and June 7 at Oneonta Little League's Doc Knapp Field.

Players must be age 8 by Dec. 1 and cannot turn 13 before Sept. 1. Seventh-graders are not eligible.

Players must bring a copy of their birth certificates and a $25 registration fee to sign-ups.

Practices will begin at the end of August. Games will be played in September and October.

Milford Academy to practice

Milford Academy in New Berlin will hold its spring practice for the Class of 2014 at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Doors open at 10 a.m. and a complimentary buffet for visiting coaches will be served at Alumni Hall immediately after practice.

Riverside 5K set for Sunday

The 11th annual Riverside Elementary 5K Run will take place Sunday.

Carolee's Run/Walk is Sunday

The sixth annual Carolee's 5K Run/Walk will start at 10 a.m. Sunday in Gilbertsville's Centennial Park.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. and costs $20 per person. All proceeds will go to a scholarship for a graduating Gilbertsville-Mount Upton scholar-athlete in the name of Carolee Dunham, who died in a November 2007 car accident during her senior year at G-MU.

An auction and entertainment will follow the race. Refreshments will be available.
