Unbeaten Gilboa repeats in Delaware League

(Continued)

Gilboa (14-0) is seeded third for the Section Four Class D tournament and will host 14th-seeded Laurens on Thursday.

‘‘As long as I get their hitters off and mix it up, we should be golden for the next game,’’ McGuire said.

Susannah Simpfenderfer went 2-for-4 for Windham, which will take an 11-2 record into sectionals.

“We couldn’t string together a couple more hits to put a dent in their lead,” said Windham coach Joel Middleton, whose team stranded six runners.
