Carolee’s Run/Walk is Sunday
The sixth annual Carolee’s 5K Run/Walk will start at 10 a.m. Sunday in Gilbertsville’s Centennial Park.
Registration starts at 9 a.m. and costs $20 per person. All proceeds will go to a scholarship for a graduating Gilbertsville-Mount Upton scholar-athlete in the name of Carolee Dunham, who died in a November 2007 car accident during her senior year at G-MU.
An auction and entertainment will follow the race. Refreshments will be available.

Youth baseball clinic May 23
The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will present the Legends for Youth Skills Clinic on May 23 at Doubleday Field.
Former major leaguers Joel Bennett, Dave Criscione, John Doherty, David Eckstein, Brian Fisher, Steve Grilli, Scott Hatteberg, Mark Kotsay and Reggie Sanders will participate in the clinic, which is for children ages 7-12. The clinic runs from 4-7 p.m. and includes two hours of on-field time with instructors and an autograph session.

BASE Race set for May 24
The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown will host the third annual BASE Race on May 24 as part of Hall of Fame Classic Weekend.
The charity runs begin with a competitive 10-kilometer race at 8 a.m., followed by a 5K fun run at 8:15 a.m. Both will start and end at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown. Former major league players will be a part of the race activities.
Pre-registration costs $25 per person or $50 for families and includes a T-shirt (first 300 to register), a goodie bag, a general admission ticket to the Classic and an admission ticket to the Hall that is valid May 24.
