The Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce will host the General Clinton Canoe Regatta’s third Hall of Fame induction ceremony and dinner May 24 at General Clinton Park in Bainbridge.

The event, which is part of the 52nd annual General Clinton Canoe Regatta Weekend from May 23-26, will honor 2014 inductees Ed Ray, Dave Price, Blaise St. Pierre, Gary Aprea, Jeff Kolka and the late Willis Hackett.

The ceremony and dinner will start with a meet-and-greet from 3-4 p.m. in the Hall of Fame tent. Dinner will be catered by Hot Rod’s BBQ.

Tickets cost $25 per person and must be ordered by May 12. Dinner tickets include reserved seating for the induction ceremony, which will be open to the public as standing-room only. Ticket forms are available online at as well as NBT Bank and Bob’s Diner in Bainbridge.

The Beadle Brothers Band will perform after the ceremony and fireworks will follow at 10 p.m.

Baseball book signing May 24

Augur’s Corner Book Store in Cooperstown will hold a book signing for Andy Strasberg’s “Baseball Fantography” from 9:30-11:30 a.m. May 24.

The book features several photos by Cooperstown resident Homer Osterhoudt, who will be present for autographs. Osterhoudt has attended 66 of the 69 National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies, including the first in 1939.

Archery league starts May 27

West End Archery is holding sign-ups for its summer TechnoHunt League, which runs from May 27-July 20.

MX Rewind coming to Unadilla

Unadilla MX in New Berlin will host its MX Rewind event from May 30-June 1.

The vintage and off-road racing event will feature three full days of vintage racing, including AHRMA vintage cross-country and the addition of AHRMA Observed Trials. The weekend starts with cross-country and trials events May 30.
