Two teams join PGCBL
The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League will add two teams for the 2013 summer college baseball season, the league announced Monday.
The Utica Brewers and the Adirondack Trail Blazers will join the PGCBL, which is home to the Oneonta Outlaws and the Cooperstown Hawkeyes. The Brewers and the Trail Blazers reached the playoffs during the 2012 New York Collegiate Baseball League season and finished 1-2, respectively, in league attendance.
Utica plays at Donovan Stadium at Murnane Field and Adirondack’s home is the renovated Robert Smith Sports Complex.
Youth swimming starts soon
The SUNY Delhi Dolphins Swim Team is accepting registration for its 10-practice session, which runs Nov. 27-Dec. 20.
Cost is $60 and covers all 10 practices. Weekday practices will run from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Nov. 27 and 29, as well as Dec. 4, 6, 11, 13, 18 and 20. Two Saturday practices will run from noon-1 p.m. Dec. 8 and 15.

Remy Tournament to return
The Anton Remy Tournament will return to Milford’s basketball schedules after taking a few years off, the Milford Booster Club announced earlier this month.
Milford will host all three days of the event, which runs Nov. 29-Dec. 1. Cherry Valley-Springfield’s boys will play Franklin in the tournament opener at 6 p.m. Nov. 29, followed by Milford’s girls against CV-S at 7:30 p.m. On Nov. 30, the CV-S girls will play Franklin at 6 p.m., followed by Milford’s boys against Roxbury at 7:30 p.m.
The boys consolation is set for 4 p.m. Dec. 1, with Milford’s girls following against Franklin at 5:45 p.m. The tournament ends with the boys championship game at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1.
Golf league opens in December
Colonial Ridge Golf in Laurens is accepting sign-ups for its winter simulator golf league.
Two-person teams compete weekly in a captain-and-mate format. Play starts the week of Dec. 3-7 and runs through the week of March 25-29. Playing times are flexible as teams may on weekdays of their choice from week to week.
Weekly fees are $10 per person. A one-time fee of $20 per person is also required to pay for prize money (110-percent cash payout).

Volleyball leagues begin soon
The Oneonta Recreation Department is accepting registrations from returning teams for its men’s and women’s volleyball leagues. A team must return at least 75 percent of its roster from 2012 to qualify as a returning team.
Registrations will be accepted from new teams beginning Dec. 7. Registration will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 21.
The program has capacity for 12 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams. Early registration is recommended.
All games are played at the Asa C. Allison Municipal building on the corner of Fairview and Academy streets in Oneonta. Men will play Tuesdays beginning Jan. 8, and women will play Wednesdays starting Jan. 9. The regular season will consist of 10 games and be followed by a postseason tournament.
Registration packets, which can be e-mailed upon request, are available at the Recreation Department in Neahwa Park. Teams must pay the $300 entry fee in full and complete a preliminary roster to register. Payments must be made via check or money order payable to the City of Oneonta. Cash payments will not be accepted.

OBGC to host winter lacrosse
The winter session of Lacrosse Oneonta will run Mondays through Jan. 21, 2013 at the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club.
Boys and girls in grades 3-7 will play from 6-7 p.m., followed by youths in grades 8-12 from 7-9 p.m.
There is no fee to participate, but players must be OBGC members. A small amount of equipment is available for beginners.
