The latter serves as the official NCAA D-III rankings, which also recognize Rochester – the only other New York team in the poll – at No. 18. Empire 8 Conference rival Stevens Institute of Technology of New Jersey is ranked seventh.

Hartwick is 9-0 in dual meets this season. The Hawks will compete in the Ithaca College Invitational this weekend.

Koch grabbed an offensive rebound and made two free throws with less than 20 seconds to play last Tuesday, helping Hartwick to a 58-55 win over Union. She also had five rebounds, two blocks and two assists.

Koch followed with a college-best 13 points, six rebounds and two steals in a 71-37 rout of Drew on Sunday.

Purcell had game-highs of 22 points and 11 rebounds last Tuesday and finished Sunday’s win with a game-best 17 points, a team-high eight rebounds and four steals.
