Outlaws down Salt Cats, 6-4

Josh Feyerabend pitched the first 5 1/3 innings. He struck out eight, walked two and allowed five runs. Shelton struck out three over the final 1 2/3 innings to get the victory.

In the win over Montreal, Sidney scored five times in the sixth inning to take a 9-0 lead. Jon Wingate hit a two-run single and Barnhart had an RBI double in the inning. Barnhart and Wingate had two hits and two RBIs apiece. Decker threw a four-hitter with five strikeouts and five walks.

Sidney (8-4) will host Endicott on Wednesday.

Oneonta goes 1-2

Oneonta Post 259 capped play in the Frederick Wood-Bat Tournament in Maryland with a 7-3 pool-play victory over Woodsboro, Md., on Saturday.

The Green Wave dropped a pair of pool-play games Friday, falling by scores of 8-6 and 7-3 to Funkstown, Md., and Calvert, Md., respectively.

On Sunday, Oneonta took a 4-2 lead after scoring three runs in the third inning. David Wright’s two-run triple highlighted the inning. Wright, Ben Moxley, Zach Pidgeon and Josh Garufi had two hits apiece for the Green Wave.

Winning pitcher Matt Bitzer allowed no earned runs over five innings. He walked one and struck out none. Mark Giallanzo allowed one run on two hits over the final two innings. He had one strikeout.
