---- — O-State women to hold dinner
The Oneonta State women’s soccer team will host its eighth annual “Dinner and Auction with the Dragons” from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Elks Club at 84 Chestnut St. in Oneonta.
Tickets for the all-you-can-eat pasta dinner and silent auction cost $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Proceeds will support O-State’s spring training trip to Disney Wide World of Sports.

Springbrook basketball tourney set
The Springbrook Invitational Special Olympics Basketball Tournament will run from noon-6 p.m. Saturday at 105 Campus Drive in Oneonta.
Springbrook, which recently completed a $22.5 million expansion, will host a Special Olympics tournament for the first time in the organization’s history.
The Springbrook Scorpions, which will host the tournament, are coming off a bronze-medal varsity finish during the Westchester-Putnam Special Olympics Annual Basketball Invitational on March 2 in Somers.

Register for swim lessons Saturday
Registration for SUNY Delhi’s Spring Community Swim Lessons runs from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday.
The pool will be open that day for free swimming, from 1-5 p.m., in honor in of SUNY Delhi’s centennial.
Girls AAU tryouts Sunday
The Catskill Mountain Girls Basketball Club will hold AAU tryouts for players in grades 6-8 from 12:30-2 p.m. Sunday. Tryouts for players in grades 9-11 will follow from 2-3:30 p.m.
Registration begins 30 minutes before tryouts. A non-refundable tryout fee of $25 is required and covers AAU registration and expenses.
Player participation fee for 2013 is $300 and covers the cost of tournament player registration and uniforms. This fee must be paid upon a player’s selection on the second day of tryouts.

Delhi to offer lifeguard training
SUNY Delhi will offer Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguarding Training, AED, First Aid and CPR-FPR on Mondays and Wednesdays through May 6.
Classes will run from 6-9 p.m. There will be no classes on April 15 and 17.
Attendance at all sessions is required. Pre-screening the first night includes a 550-yard non-stop swim, a brick swim and retrieval, and a ring retrieval.
Class size is limited, with a minimum of six students. Cost is $270, including a $45 non-refundable deposit at registration. Remainder of fee is due the second day of class.
Delhi also will run a water exercise class from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 18-May 16. Cost is $30 for one day per week, $60 for two per week and $80 for three per week. Patricipants also may pay one day at a time, at $6 per day.

Duke Tournament starts Monday
The Oneonta Boys and Girls Club will host the 15th annual Duke Invitational Basketball Tournament from Monday through March 23.
Boys and girls teams will compete in divisions for ages 12-and-under, 13-15 and 16-18.

City softball starts soon
The Oneonta Recreation Department will accept registrations for its men’s and women’s softball leagues from March 22 to April 26.
Men will play Tuesdays and Thursdays starting May 21. Women will play Mondays and Wednesdays beginning May 20. Players must be age 18 or older. Each 14-game regular season will be followed by a postseason tournament for all teams.
Teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Each manager must submit a completed registration form, a $400 entry fee and a $92 refundable forfeit bond to the recreation office. Checks or money orders must be made payable to the City of Oneonta. Cash will not be accepted.
Each team will pay its umpire $23 before each game. The forfeit bond will be used to pay an umpire if a team fails to show up for a scheduled game. Forfeit bond balances will be refunded at the end of the season.
Both leagues will hold preseason meetings April 24 at the Laskaris Skatehouse in Neahwa Park. Women will meet at 7 p.m., followed by men at 8 p.m.

O-State to host soccer camp
The Oneonta State men’s soccer team will host an indoor/outdoor soccer camp from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 25-28.
Cost is $80 per camper or $20 per day. Registration will take place at Alumni Field House. All pick-ups and drop-offs will be at the same location.
The Chase pool will be available to those interested in swimming. Campers may purchase a pizza lunch at $4 per day.
Designed for boys and girls in grades 1-8, the camp serves as a fundraiser for the men’s team.

Hartwick College will hold its Junior Hawks Spring Break Soccer Camp from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 25-28.
The camp is for boys and girls ages 6-12 and costs $80 per camper.

Golf continues through March
Colonial Ridge Golf in Laurens is accepting sign-ups for its winter simulator golf league.
Two-person teams compete weekly in a captain-and-mate format. Play runs through the week of March 25-29. Playing times are flexible as teams may on weekdays of their choice from week to week.
Weekly fees are $10 per person. A one-time fee of $20 per person is also required to pay for prize money (110-percent cash payout).

Colonial Ridge to hold meetings
Colonial Ridge Golf in Laurens will hold organizational meetings for its Tuesday Night Men’s Golf League at 5:30 p.m. March 26 and for its Wednesday Night Men’s Golf League at 5:30 p.m. March 27.
Leagues run from the first week in April until the third week of September, weather permitting. All Colonial Ridge Golf leagues are open to the public, with weekly league fees of $7 for non-members.
The leagues feature two-person teams and multiple flights per night, with staggered tee times. The A Flight plays from 2:30-3:30 p.m., followed by the B Flight (3:30-4:30), the C Flight (4-5), and the D Flight (4:30-5:30).

Unadilla Motocross in New Berlin will host the second MX Rewind weekend June 14-16.

Junior golf clinics set
Catskill Mountains Junior Golf, a new organization, will offer a major junior golf programs at the Meadows Golf Center in Margaretville and Ouleout Creek Golf Course in North Franklin this year.
The courses will host junior golf clinic days, a championship day and a parent/junior tournament in July.
The main program will be followed by a season-ending banquet and awards day at Mine Kill State Park in North Blenheim.
The program is open to youths ages 5-17 and focuses on learning how to play, rules, etiquette and proper dress, among other things.

Rat Snake registration open
Registration is open for the 2013 Rat Snake, a triathlon held in honor of the late Dr. Ken Stalter.
The event, which is scheduled for May 18, will feature professional timing. The triathlon/team triathlon will begin at 7 a.m., followed by the trail run at 10 a.m. and the 3-kilometer jog/stroll at noon.
The triathlon and trail run will be limited to 100 participants. The team triathlon will be limited to 10 teams.
