Dakota Kolvic tripled and doubled for the Storm, who received three hits from Nate Shackelton and two doubles from Kyle King.

The teams combined to commit 23 errors, including 12 by UV.

“It was like a football game,” Storm coach Tom Locke said. “It was sloppy. We have a lot of guys with sore arms from playing a lot of games and the field is in pretty bad shape, too. It was a little bit of everything.”

Anthony Grasgruber went 4-for-4 with three RBIs for the Hornets.

UV (3-6, 2-4) visits Oxford on Wednesday.

Dalton Kaminsky struck out 10 and walked three in a four-hitter as Walton won a MAC home game.

Kaminsky also went 2-for-3 with a double, three runs and two RBIs.

Abel Clark and Trevor Zandt had two hits apiece for the Warriors. Clark drove in four runs and Zandt stole a pair of bases and scored two runs.

Walton (1-5, 1-5) will host Delhi today in a game that was originally scheduled for Wednesday.

Matt Olin paced Afton (3-7, 2-4) with two doubles and two runs.
