---- — Bow shoot set for Sunday
The Gilbertsville Rod and Gun Club, on Gun Club Road in South New Berlin, will hold its last 3D Bow Shoot of the season Sunday.
Registration runs from 7-11 a.m., and breakfast will be served from 7-10 a.m. Lunch will be available the remainder of the day.
The shoot features 40 targets with seven classes. Adult awards are given for first and second places. Juniors and Cub shooters will receive trophies.

Hall event to feature Fingers
Rollie Fingers will be the featured guest during a special Voices of the Game program at 10 a.m. Monday at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
Fingers, a 1992 Hall of Fame inductee who finished his career with 341 saves, will be in Cooperstown that week for the Otesaga Hotel Seniors Open Pro-Am.
Tickets for the one-hour roundtable program cost $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Tickets may be reserved from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. by calling 607-547-0397.
Fingers to host Seniors Open
National Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Rollie Fingers will serve as celebrity host for the 31st annual Otesaga Hotel Seniors Open and Pro-Am Golf Tournament, which runs Tuesday through Friday at the Leatherstocking Golf Course in Cooperstown.
Fingers will participate in Tuesday’s Pro-Am, which begins with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start. Fingers also will speak at the fundraiser dinner later that day.
Proceeds from the Pro-Am will benefit Pathfinder Village, a residential community in Edmeston dedicated to children and adults with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities. Proceeds also will benefit the Hall’s educational programs.

The Seniors Open follows Wednesday through Friday and will feature close to 100 of the top senior professionals in the country. Tom Eubank of Ellijay, Ga., shot a tournament record-tying 64 in the final round to win the 2012 Seniors Open.

Tennis tourney set for Tuesday
The Pathfinder Village Foundation will host the fourth annual Chobani Tennis Classic on Tuesday at the Cooperstown Country Club.
The event starts at 8:30 a.m. and features 30 players in two round-robin flights. Playoffs will begin at 2 p.m. Hall of Fame pitcher Rollie Fingers will attend the reception and awards banquet, which will follow play at The Otesaga Hotel.
Proceeds will support the foundation’s scholarship endowment, which assists residents who live with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities in Edmeston’s Pathfinder Village.

OHS modified practices Wednesday
Oneonta High’s modified fall sports programs will begin practicing Wednesday, starting with swimming at 9:30 a.m. at OHS. Modified cross country, football, boys soccer and girls soccer will start at 3:15 p.m. at OHS. At the same time, modified volleyball will open at Oneonta Middle School.
Athletes must have completed health-history questionnaires and updated physicals to participate. Forms are available at the high school and middle school health offices.

Water aerobics open Wednesday
SUNY Delhi changed the start date of its Water Aerobics Class from Monday to Wednesday.
The first class will run from 5-6 p.m.

UVSC to host GNCC event
The Unadilla Valley Sports Center in New Berlin will host Round 10 of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series from Sept. 7-8.
More than 1,500 professional and amateur riders will compete in Round 10 of the off-road motorcycle and ATV racing series.
In the XC1 Pro ATV class, Chris Borich leads the championship standings with six wins through nine rounds. Walker Fowler is second with two overall wins.
In the XC1 Pro motorcycle division, Factory KTM teammates Charlie Mullins and Kailub Russell sit three points apart in the championship standings.
Four-wheeled ATVs will compete throughout the day Sept. 7. Motorcycles will race Sept. 8.
Local riders are invited to race and may sign up at the track. Entry fee is $40.
Spectator passes run $15 for the full weekend, with pro pit access and pro autographs at no additional charge.
The schedule for both days starts with youth races at 8 a.m., followed by amateurs and women at 10 a.m., and top amateurs and pros at 1 p.m.

The annual SUNY Oneonta Baseball Fall High School Clinic will begin at 9 a.m. Sept. 8 at Red Dragon Baseball Field.
Registration runs from 8-9 a.m. Sept. 8. Entry fee is $75 and may be paid on the day of the clinic or by filling out a registration form and mailing it to SUNY Oneonta, Chase PE Building 102, Oneonta, NY 13820.
Each camper will receive a T-shirt and lunch. The camp is open to high school-aged players who’ll graduate between 2014-17.
The morning session will focus on hitting and position instruction. A live game will be played in the afternoon.

Lower Deck Events will hold its annual 5K Fun Run on Sept. 8 at the 6th Ward playground on Scramling Avenue in Oneonta.
The race will start at noon. Race-day registration will run from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Pre-registration deadline is Aug. 29. Applications can be picked up at the Oneonta YMCA.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Chief Russo Memorial Playground Fund.
