“It was a great to get a win and since it’s on the road at Owego, it’s even better,” said Brannan, whose team’s 13-3 season in 2012 ended with a 5-2 loss to Susquehanna Valley in the Section Four Class B final.

Michael Libby and Paul Clark had a goal and an assist apiece to lead Davenport to a first-round victory in the Stamford Mayor’s Cup.
Cody Wamsley and Eric Merwin contributed goals for the Wildcats, who had a 15-4 advantage in shots.
Davenport will play Stamford in a second-round tournament game at 6 p.m. Saturday.

K.C. Rockwell scored 25 minutes into play off assists from Liam Collins and Damian Hill.
With six minutes remaining in the first half, Jesse Hults’ goal put the Indians ahead, 2-0.
Greg Mattice, Coby Fancher, and Glen Cioccari all scored in the for Stamford (1-0, 1-0), which will face Davenport in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Hudson 3, H-T 2
Dylan Legg scored twice, but visiting Hunter-Tannersville fell in overtime in the non-league opener for both teams.
Legg scored his first goal about 15 minutes into play after settling a bouncing ball over top of the Hudson defense. It gave H-T a 1-0 lead.
Legg’s second goal came off a corner kick from Jake Davis and gave the Wildcats a 2-1 lead.
Hudson tied midway through the second half and scored the winner three minutes into overtime on a goal by Raman Rhyman.
Hunter-Tannersville (0-1) will host a non-league match against Germantown on Friday.
McGraw 7, Edmeston 3
Dante Corrnell scored twice for Edmeston, which lost its non-league opener at home Tuesday.
