Cooperstown softball moves to 13-0

Cooperstown will travel to Morrisville-Eaton on Wednesday.

TENNIS

Oneonta 5, CV 2

In a match that featured four matches that went to third-set super tiebreakers, the host Yellowjackets received three-set wins from Griffin Rule at fourth singles, and Chris Lentner and John Scott at second doubles to win in the Southern Tier Athletic Conference.

Rule defeated Nick Simons, 7-5, 6-7, 10-5. Lentner and Scott downed Charlie Kane and Brandon Lockwood, 5-7, 6-4, 10-6.

Oneonta is 8-2.

B-G 4, Oxford 1

Spenser Stevens and Thomas Petrutoni rallied for a 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 win over Sarah Hodge and Pachari Meade at first doubles and helped host Bainbridge-Guilford to a Midstate Athletic Conference victory.

B-G (4-4) will host Hancock on Wednesday.

H-T 4, Roxbury 3

Taylor Dart and Rae Goss won at fourth and fifth singles, respectively, to help host Hunter-Tannersville to a Delaware League victory.

Dart defeated Tristan Mulder, 9-7, and Goss earned a 9-5 win over Danny Ballard.

Roxbury’s Josh Riley downed Neal Statts, 9-5, at first singles.

The Wildcats finished the regular season at 7-5. Both teams will play in the Delaware League Championships today at Saugerties.

Greene 4, Sidney 1

Nick Meno downed Cameron Race, 6-2, 6-2, at first singles, but visiting Sidney fell in a Midstate Athletic Conference match.

The Trojans (9-0) received singles wins from Kevin Koerts, Brady Race and Connor Moriarity.

Greene will host Oxford on Wednesday.

Cooperstown 4, Sauquoit Valley 1

Jimmy Anania, Jason Cadwalader and Will Cadwalader won their singles matches in straight sets to lead host Cooperstown to a Center State Conference victory.

Cooperstown is 11-1.

GOLF

at Delhi College GC

Eric Zimmerman’s 42 paced Walton to a 239-286 non-league victory over Roscoe.

Nick Mills contributed a 44 for the Warriors (8-2), who’ll face Delhi today.
