Phillips improved to 11-1 on the season for top-seeded Afton (15-1, 11-0), which hosts Hancock in the MAC 1-4 title game Thursday.
Bailey Sherman hit a two-run homer over the left-field fence in the first inning and Sierra Palmatier finished 3-for-4 with an RBI. Payton Cutting contributed two hits and an RBI for the Crimson Knights.
Hancock 12, Greene 11
Hancock rallied for four runs in the sixth inning en route to a semifinal win at home in the MAC 1-4 Tournament.
Brooke Sherburne led Hancock with three hits and three RBIs. Lea Newman (two RBIs) and Caitlin Wormuth (RBI) contributed two hits apiece.
Sierra Stoppkotte, Laura Derdon, Kiley Schaff (three RBIs) and Maddie Brink had two hits apiece for the Trojans, who were held scoreless in the seventh.
Hancock plays Livingston Manor in the Hancock Softball Tournament at noon Saturday. The Wildcats will visit top-seeded Afton for the MAC title Thursday.
B-G 5, Harpursville 4
Marissa Thornton scored the winning run on a fielder’s choice in the top of the seventh to give visiting Bainbridge-Guilford a semifinal win in the MAC 5-8 Tournament.
Winning pitcher Justine Pratt allowed four hits and struck out four.
Trailing, 4-2, in the top of the fourth, Taylor LaMont came in from second on a throwing error by Hornets catcher Madison Paugh. Alexis Paige later tied it at 4 on another throwing error by the Harpursville infield.
Harpursville put runners at the corners with none out in the bottom of the sixth. Pratt fielded a bunt and went to first for the front end of a double play as second baseman Morgan Shew, who was covering first on the play, threw out the runner at home. Pratt got out of the inning with a strikeout.
Bainbridge-Guilford (7-7, 4-7) plays at Sidney in the MAC 5-8 final Monday.
Sidney 4, Oxford 2
Sidney freshman Kailyn Gravel threw her third no-hitter of the season as Sidney won a MAC 5-8 Tournament semifinal at home.
