Dusseldorp later scored on a passed ball to tie it, and Townsend came in as the go-ahead run when Stamford misplayed a grounder by Chelsea Doig.
Townsend finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Eagles, who received two hits and an RBI from Latourette.
Gabby Rion had an RBI single and Katlyn Fallon doubled for Stamford.
Downsville (4-6, 4-6) will host Margaretville on Monday.

Winning pitcher Brieanna Baker and Maria DiMartin hit two-run singles during a five-run third inning as Oneonta High moved to 14-1 with a Southern Tier Athletic Conference win at home.
Norwich opened the scoring in the second when Shannon Moore with a home run to left-center.
The Yellowjackets — 13-1 in STAC — tied it in the bottom of the second on back-to-back two-out doubles by Emmalee Sloman and Alexis Ramsey. Sloman doubled to the fence in center and Ramsey’s RBI double went to left center.
Oneonta then used five singles to score five times in the third. Brianna Haines also had an RBI single in the inning.
Hayley Dower finished 3-for-4 with three runs and an RBI, Baker went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Cami Cleaveland was 2-for-4 with a run.
Baker had nine strikeouts and two walks in a three-hitter.
OHS will host Seton Catholic Central on Monday and then travel to Chenango Valley on Tuesday. If the Yellowjackets win both games and Windsor wins out, the teams will play a STAC East Division tiebreaker to determine which team will represent the East in the STAC playoffs.
Oneonta and Windsor have split two games this season.

Senior Nicole Cring went 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs and an RBI, and struck out 14 in a two-hitter to lead unbeaten Cooperstown to a Center State Conference win at home.
