O-State sprinter gets three chances to be the best

At the ECACs, sophomore Weinert finished fourth in the hammer throw at 182-7. Teammate J.D. Roth placed fifth at 180-11.

O-State also received a win and a school record from its 3,200 relay team during the ECACs. David Bohunicky, Kyle Howerton, Bobby Gallant and Nate Weber bettered their program record by crossing in 7:43.85.

Other ECAC place-winners were Carr, who placed sixth in the 200 (21.82); John Longo, who took fifth in the 5,000 (15:08.86); and Joe Fox, who placed fourth in the shot put (52-5.25).

SUNY Cobleskill’s T.J. Moade finished 24th in the 400 (50.26). The Fighting Tigers’ Princess Joefield placed 11th in the heptathlon (3,688 points).
