WOMEN’S SOCCERHartwick 1, Marywood 1
Oneonta High graduate Cami Cleaveland made an immediate impact in her Hartwick College debut.
Cleaveland, a freshman, scored in the 60th minute as the Hawks tied visiting Marywood in their season opener Sunday in the Brozman Cup at Elmore Field. Cleaveland scored on a rebound after Cristina Sicari’s shot deflected off of Marywood goalie Victoria Pezdirtz.

Sicari nearly scored in overtime after penetrating into the penalty box, but her shot went high in the first overtime. Hartwick goalie Annie Millar kept it tied in the second overtime, punching a long shot by Angela Heydt over the goal.
Hartwick (0-0-1) held advantages of 11-10 in shots and 5-3 in corner kicks.
Millar finished with five saves, one more than Pezdirtz.
The Hawks will play John Carroll University at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Elmore Field in the Oneonta Mayor’s Cup.
