Damien LaFever scored with 5:46 to go in the first half, off a pass from Beers.
Beers’ first goal came with 1:16 left in the first half as he converted a pass from Nate Moon.
Family School’s Paul Waters scored from midfield 6 seconds after Beers’ goal. Waters added his second goal with 5 seconds remaining in the first half as the teams headed into halftime tied at 2.
Beers and Fairchilds each scored in the second half for Franklin (1-1-1, 0-0-1), which hosts Laurens today.
Walton 4, Downsville 0
Nate Pieper scored twice, and Cameron Murphy and Jared Beach each had a goal and an assist as Walton won the championship game of the Campbell Tournament at Downsville.
Pieper opened the scoring 15 minutes into play. He took a low shot from 20 yards that goalie David Doig got a piece of, but the ball trickled over the line.
Four minutes later, Beach finished a pass from Murphy to make it 2-0.
Doig finished with nine saves, as did counterpart Dylan Walley.
Walton (3-0) will travel to Unatego on Tuesday.
Maine-Endwell’s boys and girls won titles in Oneonta High’s Dave “Flash” Forbes Invitational at Fortin Park.
M-E’s boys, led by race winner Cody Brizzolara, finished with 19 points. Chenango Forks had 111 and Oneonta was third with 115.
Brizzolara completed the 2.65-mile course in 14 minutes, 36 seconds.
The first area runner to cross was Delhi’s Declan Kottmeier, who finished sixth in 15:45. OHS’ Logan Mancuso placed seventh in 15:46.
Mancuso’s teammate, Sam Baskin, placed 16th in 16:22. Alex Legg of Delhi finished 15th in 16:21.
Afton’s Joe DeVona finished 18th in 16:23 and Edmeston’s Jake Tomlins was 23rd in 16:54.
M-E’s girls had 42 points to beat runner-up Union-Endicott by 38.
Chenango Forks’ Emily Niman placed first in 18:25.
The host school received respective fifth- and eighth-place finishes from Missy Emilio (19:49) and Nika Ficano (20:07).
