(Continued)

Cooperstown 4, MM 1

Liz Millea had two goals and two assists, and Maggie Hall scored twice in Cooperstown’s Center State Conference win at home.

Millea finished a cross from Jordian Siver six minutes into play to give Cooperstown a 1-0 lead. Nine minutes later, Millea set up Hall for a goal that made it 2-0.

Katie Kleban made eight saves for Cooperstown (2-0, 1-0), which will host Little Falls on Wednesday.

Morris 1, Edmeston 0

Alexis Forgit scored 10:41 before halftime as host Morris won in the Tri-Valley League.

Forgit beat a defender at the top of the box before scoring to the far post.

The Mustangs (3-0) limited Edmeston to one shot.

Morris will travel to Franklin on Wednesday in a rematch of last season’s Section Four Class D final. The teams played to a 1-all tie in last year’s final, but Franklin advanced to the state playoffs with a 3-2 win in a penalty-kick shootout.

CV-S 6, Worcester 1

Jordan Loucks had three goals and one assist lead host Cherry Valley-Springfield in the Tri-Valley League.

Lauren Loucks contributed two goals and two assists for the Patriots, who led, 4-0, at halftime.

Kaylie Yerdon also scored CV-S (3-0, 2-0), which will host Milford on Friday.

Cierra Ralph scored in the second half for Worcester (1-1).

Franklin 4, Laurens 1

Jordan Beers scored a goal and assisted on another to lead visiting Franklin in the Tri-Valley League.

Beers’ throughball set up Keri Schmidt for a breakaway 10 minutes into play. Schmidt’s first attempt was saved by Laurens’ Courtney Sherry, but Schmidt scored on the rebound. Sherry had nine saves.

Laurens tied the score with five minutes left in the first half, when Charlotte Lee redirected the ball into the goal from 10 yards off a cross from Rachel Murello.

Beers scored the winner with 29:33 on a 25-yard shot into the upper-left corner. Teammates Jessica Downin and Mariah McNeilly finished with a goal apiece for the Purple Devils.
