OHS girls pound another STAC foe

Milford 2, Schenevus 0

Emilie Mertz and Fiona Brennan scored to lead host Milford to Tri-Valley League victory.

Mertz opened the scoring four minutes into play off a throughball from Addy Lawson. Mertz scored into the bottom-left corner.

Brennan’s goal came after she won a 50-50 ball in the penalty box played by Mataiah Waters. Brennan also scored in the bottom-left corner.

Mary Hernandez had eight saves for Schenevus.

Milford (3-0, 2-0) will play at Worcester on Wednesday.

SK 1, Gilboa 0

Sam Acuna scored an unassisted goal nine minutes in to give visiting South Kortright a Delaware League victory.

Acuna dribbled along the left side before scoring into the upper-right corner from 20 yards.

Allison McGuire had nine saves to pace the Wildcats (1-2, 1-1), who held an 11-6 advantage in shots.

Greene 1, Delhi 0

Paige Wilcox scored an unassisted goal six minutes before halftime to give host Greene a Midstate Athletic Conference victory.

Wilcox sent a shot from outside the 18-yard box into the lower-left corner. Delhi goalie Kaitlynn Finch got a piece of the ball but not enough to prevent the goal.

Delhi (2-1, 1-0) will play at Sidney on Wednesday.

Delhi 6, Stamford 0

Casey Steffens had two goals and an assist to lead Delhi into the Stamford Mayor’s Cup title game Saturday.

Chelsea Cika, Olivia Wakin, Melissa Conrad and Hannah Morley also scored for the Bulldogs.
