Gilboa girls cruise to victory

STAFF REPORT

Kendall Thorington scored 18 points to lead four Gilboa players in double figures as the Wildcats’ girls basketball team defeated Windham, 69-23, in the consolation game of the Hunter-Tannersville Tournament on Tuesday.

Shelby Oliver had 17 points, and Jana Traver and all-tournament selection Mikayla Foster scored 15 points apiece for Gilboa.

Traver scored 13 points in the first half as Gilboa took a 38-9 lead.

Gilboa (1-1) will play Roxbury on Dec. 7.
