OHS boys falter in second half at Norwich

Feringa had 17 points, Austin Becker had 14 and Matt Mills contributed 11 for Deposit (2-0), which is at Harpursville on Thursday.

Robert Burton had 22 points, including six three-pointers, and Kevin Weinert also scored 22 to lead Schenevus.

Gilboa 64, Stamford 52

Hunter Grace scored 20 points and Tyler Latta had 16 to lead Gilboa to a first-round victory in the Margaretville Tournament.

Matt Anderson had 20 points and Erik Ehrhart contributed 12 for Stamford.

Christian Cooper finished with 11 points for Gilboa (2-1, 0-1), which plays Margaretville in the tournament final on Saturday. Stamford plays Roscoe in the consolation game.

Margaretville 63, Roscoe 31

Margaretville (2-1) got a double-double from Mitch Hull in its first-round victory of the Margaretville Booster Club Tournament.

Hull scored 13 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.

Kyle Short scored a team-high 14 for the Blue Devils, with 12 of his points coming on three-point field goals.

Short’s nine first-quarter points helped Margaretville build an early 18-9 lead.

Cooper Reither also contributed to the early Blue Devil advantage, scoring five in the first quarter and 11 on the night. Matt VanValkenburg scored eight and had seven assists for the Blue Devils, who will host Gilboa in the tournament’s championship game at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The consolation game is scheduled for 1 p.m.
