Kylie Graham had seven of her game high 15 points in the fourth quarter as Cherry Valley-Springfield won in the first round of the Richfield Springs Tournament.
“We finally came to play in the fourth quarter,” CV-S coach Tim Dubben said. “I got a good group in there and they started playing well. We played good defense, got good pressure on ball and took them out of it.”
Lauren Loucks had eight points for CV-S (1-2), which plays Richfield in the championship game today.
Sydney Smith had 10 points to lead Edmeston, which plays Sharon Springs in the consolation game today.
Unadilla Valley 54, Hamilton 34
Taylor Davis scored 19 points to lead Unadilla Valley to a win in the first round of the Sherburne-Earlville Tournament.
Jordan Anderson scored 13 points and Hannah Lazarus contributed added 10 for UV.
Lauren Weeks scored 13 points to lead Hamilton.
UV (1-0) will play Sherburne-Earlville in the championship game at 6 p.m. Saturday. Hamilton will oppose Bainbridge-Guilford in the consolation game at 4 p.m.
