Hall to celebrate holidays

The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown will host its annual Holiday Celebration on Saturday.

Hall visitors will receive free admission all day Saturday with the donation of at least two non-perishable food items. All donations support the Cooperstown Food Bank and Opportunities for Otsego.

Special programs start at 10 a.m. and include a performance by the Pathfinder Village Hand Bell Choir in the Plaque Gallery at 2 p.m.

Benefit for OHS grad Saturday

A benefit for Oneonta High graduate Ed O’Malley will be held from 7-10 p.m. Saturday at the Binghamton Tennis Center.

O’Malley, a 1975 OHS grad, is battling non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The benefit will include tennis matches, drills, auctions, raffles and a buffet. Cost is $30 for tennis and the buffet, $25 for just tennis, and $20 for the buffet and raffle. Cost for students is $20.

Golf continues through March

Colonial Ridge Golf in Laurens is accepting sign-ups for its winter simulator golf league.

Two-person teams compete weekly in a captain-and-mate format. Play runs through the week of March 25-29. Playing times are flexible as teams may on weekdays of their choice from week to week.

Weekly fees are $10 per person. A one-time fee of $20 per person is also required to pay for prize money (110-percent cash payout).

OTC to host holiday camps

The Oneonta Tennis Club will hold one-day holiday camps from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 27 and 28.

Players may participate in one or both camps, which will be run by head instructor Riley Lorenz.
