Kyle Jaquay scored 26 points and Cherry Valley-Springfield hit nine three-pointers to win at home in the Tri-Valley League.

“We were really moving the ball around well, getting good shots,” CV-S coach Terry Brant said. “We came out on fire in the first half. We got seven of our nine three-pointers in that half.”

Laurens, which was led by Mitchell Barra’s 17 points, cut the CV-S lead in half in the third quarter.

“I give Laurens a lot of credit,” Brant said. “We were up 16 at halftime, but we came out flat and they cut the lead in half and got back in the game.”
