Hartwick alumni games Saturday

Hartwick College will host its annual alumni basketball games Saturday at Lambros Arena.

Women will play at noon, followed by men at 1 p.m. The alumni games will take place before the Hawks’ doubleheader against Houghton as the men play at 3 p.m. and the women will start at 5 p.m.

Coaches vs. Cancer game Saturday

The Laurens Central School Basketball Program and Athletic Booster Club will host the second annual Coaches vs. Cancer basketball fundraiser Saturday.

Six Laurens teams will play in the event, starting at 10 a.m. with an intersquad game for boys in grades 5-6. Boys and girls modified teams then will host Richfield Springs, at 11:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., respectively.

The JV boys play at 2 p.m. against Worcester, followed by the JV girls against Schenevus at 4 p.m., the varsity girls against Schenevus at 6 p.m., and the varsity boys against Worcester at 8 p.m.

Entrance to the event, which also features several raffles and a silent auction, is by donation. Concession stand profits also will be donated.

Laurens raised nearly $2,000 in donations during last year’s Coaches vs. Cancer game.

Girls lacrosse clinic Sunday

The Oneonta State women’s lacrosse team will hold a winter clinic for high school girls in grades 9-12 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at Alumni Field House.

Cost is $75 and includes lunch. Pre-registration is highly recommended.

O-State softball dinner Feb. 1

The Oneonta State softball team will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 5-8 p.m. Feb. 1.

The 6th Ward Athletic Club in Oneonta will host the dinner, which costs $8 per person.

O-State softball clinic Feb. 23

Oneonta State’s softball team will host a winter clinic for girls ages 10-and-older from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 23 at Alumni Field House.

Cost is $45 and pre-registration is highly recommended.
