Franklin guard scores 39 in win over RS


Beach had two threes in the first quarter as the Warriors opened on a 16-8 run.

Michael Lindsay and Colin Adam contributed eight points apiece for Walton (4-8, 2-4), which will host Delhi on Wednesday.

Darien Heath and James Westfall each scored 11 points for Afton.

Delhi 69, Hancock 63

Hancock’s Eli Holton scored a game-high 31 points, but host Delhi (6-5, 2-4) held on for a Midstate Athletic Conference victory.

Alex Specht’s 19 points paced the Bulldogs (6-5, 2-4), who received 13 points from Nate Denison and 11 from Michael Staples.

Delhi took a 35-16 lead into halftime but allowed 28 points in the third period, when it was outscored by 13 points. The teams traded baskets in the fourth quarter, when they scored 19 points apiece.

Delhi travels to Walton on Wednesday.

Oxford 51, B-G 41

Lucas Butcher hit three three-pointers en route to 15 points, but Bainbridge-Guilford dropped a home game in the Midstate Athletic Conference.

Mike Carlin contributed 10 points for the Bobcats (1-10, 1-7), who received four steals apiece from Butcher and Dylan Moffit (eight points, seven rebounds).

Kevin Davis’ game-high 20 points paced Oxford, which received 14 from Cameron Heggie.

B-G is at Greene on Tuesday.
