Pindar homers, but OHS falls short


Joe Quagliano went 3-for-5 with two RBIs for the J-Hawks, who also received two hits apiece from James Quagliano, Nate Jonker, Isaac Anderson, Reeves and Nick Smith.

Losing pitcher Hunter Grace struck out seven for a Gilboa team that made six errors. Christian Cooper had two hits, an RBI and a double for the Wildcats.

Gilboa (4-6) will play a non-league game at Margaretville on Tuesday.

Stamford 11, Roxbury 6

Winning pitcher Erik Ehrhart struck out 15 and walked one to lead host Stamford to Delaware League win.

Matt Anderson finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs for Stamford.

Spencer Hinkley paced Roxbury with two hits. Dakota Caronia and Jacob Davis finished with RBI double and RBI single respectively.

Stamford (9-2, 7-1) is at Windham on Tuesday, with the winner earning the Upper Division title.

B-G 9, Afton 2

Austin Bauerle struck out 14 and walked none in a four-hitter as visiting Bainbridge-Guilford won in the Midstate Athletic Conference.

Bauerle, who struck out nine over the final four innings, also finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Batterymate Tyler Ouimet finished 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Josh Davy and Ricky Parsons both had RBI singles and Connor Graven-Briggs tripled for the Crimson Knights (3-12, 2-9), who will play at Walton on Saturday.

Harpursville 8, Deposit 0

Jon Arnold’s no-hitter included seven strikeouts as Harpursville won on the road in the Midstate Athletic Conference.

“He kept the ball in the zone all night,” Deposit coach Terry Raymond said of Arnold. “We flat out hit the ball to them.”

Devon Dean and Justin Koranka each went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Harpursville.

Deposit (6-8) is off until the MAC mini-tournament Wednesday.

UV 18, Delhi 3

Mason Alford and Brendan Brooker had two hits apiece to lead Unadilla Valley to a road win in the MAC.

Alford scored three runs and Brooker drove in three for the Storm, who scored in every inning after the first.
