OHS baseball shut out at home

Deposit (7-8) will host Walton in the 9-12 final.

B-G 2, Oxford 1

Winning pitcher Austin Bauerle struck out nine and walked one in a six-hitter as host Bainbridge-Guilford won the consolation game of the Midstate Athletic Conference 1-4 tournament.

“(Bauerle) just kept the ball low, kept it in the strike zone and our defense was real solid tonight,” Bobcats coach Tim Mattingly said.

Bauerle retired the final six batters, including striking out the side in the seventh inning.

B-G scored once in the fourth inning to take a 2-0 lead. Tyler Ouimet singled and stole second. He took third on a wild pitch and then scored on a wild pitch.

Lucas Butcher, Corbin Palmer and Ouimet each finished with two hits for B-G (12-3), which will play a non-league game at Hancock on Thursday.

Worcester 11, Milford 9

Bobby Runblad went 2-for-5 with three runs and an RBI to help visiting Worcester to a victory over Tri-Valley League East Division champion Milford.

Chris Mravlja struck out four and walked two in an eight-hitter for the Wolverines, who took control with four runs in the fifth. Nate Nicklaus doubled to open the inning, which featured RBI singles from Derrick Pross and Ryan Perillo. Worcester led, 11-7, after its at-bats in the fifth.

Jordan Colone, Jacob Tabor and Peyton Griffiths combined on a seven-hitter for the Wildcats (10-2, 10-2), who committed seven errors.

Paul VanWarner went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI for Milford, which closes its regular-season schedule at Richfield Springs today.

Milford will play West Division winner Edmeston in the Tri-Valley League championship game Friday at Oneonta State.

Edmeston 11, G-MU 2

Five Edmeston pitchers combined on a two-hitter as the Tri-Valley League West Division champion Panthers won on the road.
