Mustangs girls down Wildcats


Keily Linger scored 11 points to lead Windham.

Sam Acuna scored 14 points, Miquela Hanselman had 12 points and Tori Rockefeller contributed 10 points for South Kortright (11-0, 9-0), which hosts Roxbury Tuesday.

Franklin 51, Edmeston 21

Haley Downin had 16 points and 10 rebounds as host Franklin stayed unbeaten with a Tri-Valley League win.

Jordan Beers scored 11 points and Marisa Cawley contributed eight points and 13 rebounds for the Purple Devils, who led, 15-2, after one quarter.

Shelby McCall scored 12 points to lead Edmeston.

Franklin (10-0, 8-0) will host Worcester on Friday.

Schenevus 46, Laurens 25

Sierra Bentley scored a game-high 11 points as Schenevus won at home in the Tri-Valley League.

The Dragons outscored Laurens, 20-0, in the first quarter.

Jazmine Maidens led Laurens with 10 points.

Taylor Spranger scored 10 points and Sarah Mellor had nine points for Schenevus (6-3, 6-2), which is at Gilbertsville-Mount Upton on Thursday.

Worcester 31, G-MU 18

Cassie Sklenka scored a game-high 11 points to lead host Worcester in the Tri-Valley League.

Whitney Gilbert scored six points to lead Gilbertsville-Mount Upton.

Worcester (6-4, 4-4) is at Franklin on Friday.

Harpursville 63, Afton 19

Miranda Drummond scored her 1,000th varsity point on a layup two minutes into play and Hapursville won at home in the Midstate Athletic Conference.

Drummond scored 14 points, Savannah Murray finished with 12 points and Espy Gutierrez had all 10 of her points all in first quarter for the Hornets.

Bailey Sherman and Shakari Coss each scored five points to lead Afton.

Harpursville (9-2, 5-2) is at Walton Friday.

H-T 51, Downsville 44

Taylor Firmalino fell one rebound shy of a double-double as host Hunter-Tannersville earned a Delaware League victory.

Firmalino and Sarah Murin scored 14 points apiece for the Wildcats (8-4, 5-4), who received a game-high 15 points from Taylor Dart. Sam Dibbell grabbed a game-best 14 rebounds for H-T, which hosts Davenport on Tuesday.

Kaileen Townsend’s 12 points paced the Eagles, who faced a 30-24 deficit at halftime.
