“He was hot in the first quarter and then he got into foul trouble and Mike DeLuca took over,” said Morris coach Dave Sander, whose team improved to 14-1.
DeLuca finished with a game-high 27 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Mustangs, who took a 37-30 lead into halftime.
Skylar Maricle contributed 12 points for Morris, which will celebrate Senior Night on Monday with a home game against Tri-Valley League foe Laurens.
Jake Cowen’s 21 points paced Brookfield, which received 14 from Preston Riley.
Edmeston 69, Laurens 56
Brandon Fallon scored his varsity high of 26 points _ 18 coming before halftime _ to lead host Edmeston to a Tri-Valley League victory.
Nick DeVries contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds. DeVries scored 10 points in the final quarter to help the Panthers seal it.
“They put on a press in the fourth quarter and we handed it pretty well,” Edmeston coach Darren Belden said. “We got some easy buckets.”
Edmeston (7-9) will host Gilbertsville-Mount Upton on Monday on Senior Night.
Jared Conklin (14 points), Ryan Holmes (12) and Mitchell Barra (11) scored in double figures for Laurens.
