Crawford scored 18 points to lead the Red Dragons to a 55-54 overtime win over conference leader New Paltz.

Crawford hit a tying three-pointer at the end of regulation and then made two free throws with seven seconds left in overtime to give O-State a four-point lead.

Hawks of the Week

Junior water polo center Sami Capparelli and equestrian freshman Taylor Trombley were named Hartwick’s Hawks of the Week.

Capparelli has earned the distinction for the third straight week.

Capparelli scored five goals in Hartwick’s 8-7 upset of 12th-ranked Indiana during the Bucknell Invitational, including the winner with 2:02 to play.

She finished with four goals in an 18-7 win over Brown and then had two goals each in wins over George Washington, Mercyhurst and a loss to 10th-ranked Princeton.

For the season, Capparelli has 54 goals for the Hawks (9-7).

Trombley played an integral part in Hartwick equestrian’s strong performance at the Skidmore Show on Saturday at Saratoga Springs.

The Hawks tied for second and tied for Reserve High Point College along with Morrisville State.

Trombley won the Novice Fences and the Novice Flat divisions. She completed the afternoon as the Reserve High Point Rider of the competition.
