O-State women end with loss

Mike Roeland placed sixth in the 200 butterfly, setting a program record of 2:27.30.

Delhi amassed 204 points and finished 400 behind team champion Monroe. Genesee (294) placed second, followed by Suffolk (256).

Lily McEnaney paced the Broncos women with an All-Region Second Team finish in the 100 butterfly (1:05.22).

Monroe also won the women’s team title, with 559 points. Delhi (112) placed seventh out of nine teams.

Tigers honor Worden

SUNY Cobleskill selected sophomore swimmer Connor Worden as its athlete of the week, the college announced Tuesday.

Worden earned three Second Team honors during the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships at Cobleskill, placing second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:27.42), the 1,650 free (19:07.03) and the 100 butterfly (1:00.69).

Worden also helped Cobleskill to thirds in the following relays: 200 free (1:40.95); 400 free (3:47.68); 800 free (8:51.87).
