Bernstein qualifies for 60 finals

Dumas helped the Hawks to the ECAC Metro Championship last weekend after averaging 15 points and 8.7 rebounds in three games. She had a college-high six blocks in a 71-57 quarterfinal win over Staten Island and scored 13 points in a 69-64 semifinal victory in overtime against Rutgers-Newark. In the championship against Brooklyn College, Dumas had her fourth double-double of the season with game-highs of 16 points and 11 rebounds.

FIELD HOCKEY

8 Dragons honored

Oneonta State earned a team academic award for the seventh straight season and eight Red Dragons were honored by National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

O-State was one of 125 schools to win NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Awards. The Red Dragons, who went 12-7 in the fall, won the award by finishing with a team GPA of greater than 3.0.

Those from O-State earning selection to the National Academic Squad were seniors Ashley Johnson, Kathleen Schlegel, Suzanne Wright, juniors Stephanie Fiske, Jessica Hodes and Samantha Smith, and sophomores Emma Wasserman and Kristen Jernauld.
