Hartwick football rolls past Becker for 3-0 start

Senior outside hitter Amber Baker averaged 2.3 kills and 2.7 digs over two Saturday matches as SUNY Cobleskill was swept by Penn State Abington and Gallaudet during the North Eastern Athletic Conference Crossovers at Keuka.

The Fighting Tigers fell, 25-16, 25-17, 25-19, to PS Abington, then lost, 25-10, 25-20, 25-18, to Gallaudet.

Cobleskill (5-9, 0-2) visits SUNYIT on Wednesday.

CROSS COUNTRY

Raptor Invitational

Cobleskill freshman Evan Quinones placed ninth in a field of 187 runners Saturday during the Raptor Invitational at Bard College.

Quinones completed the 4.97-mile course in 25:45 for the Fighting Tigers, who placed second out of 26 teams with 62 points. Middlebury won the team title with 15 points.

Geoffrey Hall, a senior, contributed a 12th for Cobleskill, crossing in 25:59.

Cobleskill’s women placed fourth out of 26 teams with 181 points. Freshman Taylor Tommell placed 24th out of 175 women, covering the 3.1-mile course in 19:25 to pace the Fighting Tigers.

Cobleskill will compete in the SUNYIT September Invitational this Saturday.
