Davenport girls nip Warriors

Milford 2, Laurens 0

Kaley Chase and Serena Chase scored in the first period of overtime to give host Milford a Tri-Valley League victory.

Emilie Mertz’s shot off the post rebounded to Kaley Chase, who scored three minutes into overtime. Serena Chase capped the scoring a minute later, off a throughball from Addy Lawson.

Courtney Sherry finished with 20 saves for visiting Laurens.

Rukiye Henderson stopped three shots in the shutout for Milford (7-1, 6-1), which visits Gilbertsville-Mount Upton on Thursday.

CV-S 2, G-MU 0

Freshman Alexis Cronkhite scored two goals to lead host Cherry Valley-Springfield to a Tri-Valley League win.

Cronkhite scored her first from six yards, off a pass from Jordan Loucks 15 minutes into the game. Her second came minutes later off a corner kick from Zane Ashford.

Katie Schultes finished with 18 saves for Gilbertsville Mount-Upton.

Kylie Graham made three saves in the shutout for the Patriots (7-1-1, 5-1-1), who travel to Franklin on Thursday.

Franklin 5, Worcester 1

Jordan Beers scored two goals to lead host Franklin to a win in the Tri-Valley League.

Mariah McNeilly and Beers each scored inside the opening 5:40.

Krystal Clement cut Worcester’s deficit to 2-1 by converting a pass from Jordan Spina with 18 minutes left in the first half.

Jessie Downin shot from the 15-yard line off a breakaway with 34:50 remaining for the go-ahead goal.

Elizabeth Niebanck and Beers had second-half goals for Franklin (6-1, 6-1), which hosts Cherry Valley-Springfield on Thursday.
