OHS girls ease past Windsor, 7-1


Franklin’s Jordan Beers opened the scoring by converting a pass from Elizabeth Niebanck 1:30 into the game. G-MU tied it in the 11th minute, when Tayler Nichols scored off an assist from Elaina Palada, then got an unassisted 18-yard goal fro Mackenzie Talbot to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.

The Purple Devils took advantage of a corner kick that went in off a G-MU defender for an own goal on the Raiders, tying the score at 2 five minutes into the second half to spark a 5-0 run.

McNeilly scored twice in the second half, which also featured Franklin goals by Downin and Sabra Warner.

B-G 2, UV 0

Abby Smith and Kylee O’Hara scored first-half goals to lead visiting Bainbridge-Guilford to a MAC victory.

Megan Ferrara made three saves in the shutout for the Bobcats, who were outshot, 7-6.

SK 5, Stamford 0

Tori Rockefeller finished with a goal and an assist to lead host South Kortright to a Delaware League victory.

Burkley Cole scored a minute into play. She finished from 15 yards.

With 17 minutes left in the first half, Lexi Dubois received a pass from Rockefeller and scored from 20 yards to make it 2-0. Sam Acuna and Hannah Shafer also scored for the Rams.

Nikki McGrath finished with 15 saves for Stamford.

South Kortright (9-2, 6-0) will host Franklin in a non-league matchup of Section Four Class D powers Friday. Franklin represented Section Four in the state playoffs last season.

H-T 1, Margaretville 0

Heather Murin scored the winner 15 minutes into play to give host Hunter-Tannersville a Delaware League win.

Murin received a pass from Taylor Firmalino and beat a defender before scoring from 12 yards.

Shannon Fairbairn made six saves for Margaretville, which held a 13-10 advantage in shots.

H-T (1-6, 1-5) will play at Davenport on Thursday.

Unatego 3, Delhi 0

Torri Halaquist had a goal and two assists to lead Unatego to a Midstate Athletic Conference victory at home.
